* at the boundaries of operational responsibility area

In 2017 the Company’s net supply to consumers and regional grid operators at the boundaries of operational responsibility area amounted to 62,159 million kWh (- 549 million kWh or -0.88% YoY, if compared to 62,708 million kWh transmission metrics of 2016).

Real losses of electricity in 2016-2017 are presented in the figure below:

Electricity losses
2016 2017 Change**
Million kWh % % (under comparable conditions)* Million kWh % Million kWh %
Permenergo 1,935 10.91 10.91 1,887 10.51 -7.5 -0.40
Sverdlovenergo 1,783 6.07 6.07 1,757 5.86 -3.7 -0.21
Chelyabenergo 1,618 7.73 8.69 1,504 7.78 -13.7 -0.91
IDGC of Urals 5,336 7.84 8.12 5,148 7.65 -24.2 -0.47
* Level of electricity losses, set for conditions comparable to conditions of operations of OAO IDGC of Urals or its branch in 2017 in terms of consumer structure, operation mode of the networks;
** Change of relative electricity losses in % is calculated as the difference between 2017 and 2016 values, factoring in changes in consumer structure, operation mode of the networks; change of absolute electricity losses is calculated as a product of changed relative electricity losses and 2017 net supply.

An important factor taken into account to level 2016 electricity losses and 2017 operating conditions of Chelyabenergo is exclusion of “last-mile” facilities from net supply, as OAO MMK, PAO ChMK, OAO RZhD, ООО Gazprom Transgaz Yekaterinburg, ООО Kemma, ZAO Chebarkul Plant Soyuzteplostroy concluded direct contracts with PAO FSK UES since Jul.01,2017.
